Same design different papers...

Using up scraps and took same design and used papers for male birthday card then again for female version. Boy does different paper really make it different.

Wedding Cards

Needed several wedding cards this summer, so this is what I came up with. Did a few with the the wedding
colors and then used cream and gold on the others. Cricut cartridge is SYI. Also used gold embossing on the bells and Congratulations with a few pearls for "bling".

First and 2nd cards have wedding colors of green and pink and the papers both have a soft background design one in pink and one in green and design is basis criss cross card with the belt laced up with ribbon.

Start of Valentines Cards

Just like I used pink for Christmas cards, not using the normal colors for Valentines cards either. In one I used olive, black and white and the other was olive (again, do you see a pattern here ) brown and teal. The one with the black and white paper I made that pattern paper with a technique called "faux silk." You stamp your design on tissue paper, then color it in or accent it with markers, chalk or water based ink pads and a paint brush. The "fun" part is next, you crumple up the paper, then spread it out and glue onto the same color card-stock so in this one I used white. This is another technique I picked up at splitcoaststampers.com, love that place for new and fun things to try. The scalloped heart was cut with the Cricut and the Doodlecharm cartridge. The photo corners come from a punch by StampIn Up, the word stamp is an old CTMH and the glitter is a product called Stickles, which is glitter glue. Have been using some Rain Dots, they make the white stick on heart in the middle of the brown one. Used the Cuttlebug machine on the envelope to emboss it, think it makes a more finished product that way.

I do make custom orders, so if you see something you would like to purchase, send me an email.

Brayered Sky

I want to start off by stating that I am not the designer of this technique, I found it at splitcoaststampers.com. I did design these cards, and I am working on using the brayered sky technique and using cut outs from my Cricut, but don't have that finished yet. I did have a GREAT time playing with colors that I already have and digging out some old stamps.

Paper sack album

Didn't call this a mini-album, as with 17 places for photos and/or journaling does that still qualify as mini? lol I wanted to come up with an idea for my craft class for January, already have projects for November and December classes so thought since I have Christmas cards done, and have a little free time prior to REALLY starting Christmas shopping would work on what I am going to teach in January. The one for class will be Valentines Day themed, but didn't have that paper yet, and still had Halloween left over, so this is what I came up with. As most prototypes go already have things I will change, but you have to learn someplace. Some of the web sites I went to for instructions had you cutting part of the sack off, didn't like the size that turned out, so went with the one where you just fold them in half. Made this for my sister, who has 3 grandchildren, so wanted a pocket/insert for each one, so 3 sacks used. The chipboard for the covers was the backing from the 2 - 8 x 8 stacks I purchased from HL for my Christmas card paper, you know have to reuse EVERYTHING, so we have the money to buy more cartridges, lol! Used Jasmine for the corners and Paper Dolls for all the Halloween goodies, and did a lot of mini-dots Cuttlebug embossing and ribbon and buttons from my ever growing stash. If you post a comment, please be kind, this is my first try, thanks!

Happy Holidays Christmas Stocking cards

Merry & Bright Christmas card

Just love this KI Memories 2006 Christmas paper, and found the GREAT string of lights at my LSS. The inside stamp is from Stampin Up the tree and Christmas light die cuts are from the Cricut machine Christmas Cheer cartridge. The smaller one is a gift card holder made to match the card, thanks to a member of the Cricut message board for the directions on the gift card holder.
